Here’s a guide for general theme update but if you want to replace only certain files, here are some tips.
- First, download the theme to your desktop, not apply the theme.
- Open the file you want to replace.
- .liquid files may not display correctly in certain text editors. For PC users, Notepad will work fine. For Mac users, you can use TextMate — it’s not free, but you can use trial for a limited time. TextEdit doesn’t seem to render liquid files well.
- Select All and copy the content. Now go to Theme > Theme Editor and open the corresponding file. Select All and paste to replace the content.
